As the story goes, my age was in the single digits. Someone sat me on the kitchen counter next to a freshly opened beer. Mom turned her back to me to tend to the stove and when she returned to the sink the beer was empty. I didn't know it was not for me. It was my first and last beer. I prefer whiskey.
